Last—but definitely not least—we have Timon.

Yes... like Timon and Pumbaa.

Timone isn't much of a guard dog, but if you need someone to cuddle with or pose for company pictures, he's your guy. Around here, we consider him Employee of the Month every month.

I knew you were going to ask.

Mom has been here since day one too.

She leads our landscape and design division and has an incredible eye for making properties look amazing. If you're looking for flower beds, landscape design, or planting ideas, she's the one making it happen.

Need snow removed? Don't be surprised if she's the one behind the wheel of the truck.

More recently, she's taken over our marketing, and honestly, I think that was one of the best decisions we've made. If you haven't already, go check out our TikTok page. I may be a little biased, but I think she's doing an awesome job.

These days, our youngest brother has started helping out too, just like the rest of us did. You might even see him on one of our crews.

At this point, it's officially become a family tradition.

Our hope is that future generations of our family will continue building on what started with one lawn mower back in 2009.

While I was away, my middle brother stepped up and worked alongside my dad to keep things moving. During those years, the company continued to thrive.

After I graduated, life took us in different directions. My brother enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and now proudly serves our country while raising a wonderful family. (Shout-out to my nephews and my amazing sister-in-law.)

As for me, I started my own career while returning to help manage the operations of Rene & Sons alongside my dad.

That's when the company entered what I like to call its modern era.

As demand grew, so did our need to improve. Every season we've looked for ways to better serve our customers. We introduced newsletters, email updates, digital invoicing, online payments, online booking, better scheduling, and new systems to make working with us easier than ever.

We never want to stop improving.

You might be wondering why it's called Rene & Sons Landscaping instead of just Rene Landscaping.

Well, when you build a company for your family, you don't build it alone—you build it with your family.

I've been involved since day one. At first, my jobs weren't exactly exciting. I'd answer phone calls, help with emails, make trips to Office Depot for invoices, stamps, envelopes, and whatever else the business needed.

As the company grew, so did I.

Eventually I was spending my summers, spring breaks, fall breaks, and just about every free day I had out mowing lawns and helping with operations.

A few years later, my middle brother joined in too.

Then I headed off to college.

Rene & Sons Landscaping, Inc. first started back in 2009. My dad wanted to get away from corporate America and build something of his own. What better way than mowing lawns?

Maybe it wasn't the most glamorous or lucrative path, but his goal was never just to start a landscaping company. His goal was to build something he could one day pass down to his family.

And with that, Rene & Sons Landscaping, Inc. was born.
